gh+projection tools

Using Grasshopper for Rhino, I’ve created a set of algorithmic tools to aid in the design of projection arrays. These tools expedite creation and layout, while providing live feedback containing relevant metrics, including lux value, pixel pitch, throw ratio and more. If a pool of available lenses is provided, the necessary lens will be selected. This functionality cuts design time by more than half when compared to processes using traditional modelling tools, and allows for quick yet accurate turnaround on proposals and pitches.

Parametric exterior projection event example, showing projection source placement by target location (surface normal) and automatic crowd orientation.

Large scale dome interior projection example, with optimization of projection layout using Galapagos evolutionary solver, inside Grasshopper.
